These Consultation Terms (“Terms”) set forth the conditions for using the paid consultation service (“Service”) provided by Tommy’s Legal Service Administrative Scrivener Office (“we”, “us”, or “our office”).

1. Scope of the Service

We provide pre-consultations related to immigration matters (visa/status renewal, PR, naturalization, and related procedures) online or in person.
Our advice is based on the information you provide and does not guarantee outcomes or government decisions.

2. Fees & Payment

  • Fees are displayed on the relevant booking page (e.g., 60 minutes: JPY 6,600, tax included).
  • Payment methods may include credit card via Stripe, PayPal, bank transfer, and cash (for in-person consultations), as specified by us.
  • For bank transfers, customers bear bank transfer fees.
  • Payment is generally prepaid. Cash payment on the day may be accepted for in-person consultations only when approved by us.

3. Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed when we send you an appointment confirmation.
For bank transfer or cash payments, we may require payment by a specified deadline or other conditions; if the condition is not met, the booking may not be confirmed.
If scheduling is not feasible due to our circumstances, we may cancel and refund your payment.

4. Method of Consultation

  • Online: via Zoom/Google Meet, etc. You are responsible for preparing your own internet connection and device.
  • In-person: at our designated location (generally our office in Yokohama).

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Up to 24 hours before the appointment: full refund
  • Within 24 hours / no-show: non-refundable
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method. Processing time may vary depending on the payment provider.

6. Rescheduling

Rescheduling is generally available up to 24 hours before the appointment. Last-minute changes may not be accepted.

7. Late Arrival

If you are late, the session will generally still end at the scheduled time and cannot be extended due to subsequent appointments.

8. Information & Documents

You agree to provide accurate and sufficient information. Inaccurate or incomplete information may affect the accuracy of our advice.

9. Connectivity Issues

If technical or connectivity issues occur during an online session, we may respond by rescheduling, a short extension, or other reasonable measures depending on the circumstances.

10. Disclaimer

  • Our advice reflects our view based on the information provided and the laws/practices at the time of consultation.
  • Outcomes are determined by government authorities and may vary by individual circumstances; therefore, we do not guarantee approval/denial results.
  • Laws and administrative practices may change.

11. Prohibited Conduct

  • Providing false information, impersonation, or using the Service for illegal purposes
  • Infringing upon the rights or interests of our office or third parties
  • Any other conduct we deem inappropriate

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over our office location as the court of first instance.

We may revise these Terms as necessary. Revised terms will become effective when posted on this page.
